what is TMS therapy?

TMS therapy is a breakthrough treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and other mental health disorders. This advanced treatment uses precisely calibrated magnetic fields to deliver gentle pulses to the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC). This brain region plays a vital role in regulating mood, managing emotional responses, and supporting healthy cognitive function. By directly influencing these key areas, TMS therapy helps address underlying disruptions in brain activity that contribute to depression, anxiety, and cognitive fog.

Unlike medications that affect the body systemically, TMS treatments are localized, targeted, and non-invasive. Its approach is based on enhancing neuroplasticity, or the brain’s natural ability to form new connections and adapt to changing circumstances. This makes it especially effective for patients who have not found success with traditional antidepressants or who prefer a drug-free, science-backed alternative. By promoting healthy brain activity and strengthening neural connectivity, TMS therapy empowers patients to achieve lasting improvements in both mental wellness and quality of life.

TMS therapy is FDA-cleared for the treatment of major depression, especially for cases that haven’t responded to antidepressant medications or other first-line depression treatments.

what is tms therapy?

how TMS therapy works

TMS delivers focused magnetic pulses that safely pass through the scalp and skull to reach targeted nerve cells in the brain. These pulses activate the DLPFC and other areas associated with mental health, stimulating healthy brain activity and strengthening neural connectivity. Over time, this stimulation encourages the brain to form new, more efficient connections, a process known as neuroplasticity. By doing so, TMS therapy supports improvements in mood regulation, decision-making, and self-control, while also helping reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and cognitive fog.
